What fees does Zatabox charge?

A flat 5% per ticket sold  that is the entire fee. No monthly, setup, listing, or per-attendee fees, and free events carry no platform fee. Payment processing is charged by the provider (Stripe, Paystack, Flutterwave, PayPal) at cost and can be absorbed by the organizer or passed to attendees.

What payment methods are accepted?

NOWPayments for cryptocurrency (150+ coins, paid to a generated deposit address), plus Paystack and Flutterwave for cards and local payment methods. Options depend on the buyer's region and the providers enabled for the event.

How do I create my first event?

Sign up as an organizer, click Create Event, and follow the 5-step wizard: Basic Info, Date & Venue, Ticket Types, Design, Publish. About 10 minutes for a simple event.

Does Zatabox support reserved seating?

Section-level pricing works today via section-linked ticket types  define named sections, each with its own price and capacity. An interactive seat-map picker is on the roadmap.

How does check-in work at the door?

Door staff use the web scanner at zatabox.com/scan  sign in with a staff code and secret, then scan QR codes with the camera or type the 6-character door code. Valid tickets admit; duplicates, cancellations, and wrong-event tickets are rejected with distinct codes. Each scan is logged.

What if there's no internet at the venue?

The scanner downloads a hashed guest-list manifest for the event and validates tickets locally with no connectivity. Queued scans sync to the server the moment connectivity returns  no entry delays, no double-admits.

Can someone screenshot a QR code and use it twice?

Accepted Answer

No. QR codes refresh every 30 seconds in the app and are HMAC-signed; once scanned, the underlying ticket is marked used and any further scan is rejected as a duplicate.

How do organizer payouts work?

Every sale settles into per-currency balances in your wallet, with available and pending amounts and itemized fees on every order. Payout requests are rolling out now.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds depend on the organizer's policy for that ticket type. If refunds are allowed, request one from My Tickets  the organizer reviews and processes it. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method.

Is checkout secure?

Yes. Card details are tokenized by the payment providers (Paystack, Flutterwave) and never touch Zatabox's servers; crypto payments go straight to addresses generated by NOWPayments. 3D Secure runs automatically through Stripe, and purchase velocity limits guard against abuse. Checkout is also passwordless  buyers never create or reuse a password.

Yes. The full platform is exposed via a REST API at api.zatabox.com with scoped API keys (vt_live_ / vt_test_), 27 webhook event types, server-side idempotency, an official Node SDK, and a first-party MCP server with 40+ tools for AI agents.

Do you offer a white-label / custom domain solution?

Hosted event pages run under your logo and brand color today, and the API carries no Zatabox branding. Self-serve custom domains (e.g. events.yourbrand.com) and embeddable widgets are on the roadmap. Either way, it's the same flat 5% per ticket sold.

Zatabox is API-first with one flat fee: 5% per paid ticket, nothing else. Passwordless checkout, offline-capable scanning, webhooks, reviews and waitlists, an open developer API and an MCP server for AI agents are all standard  not gated behind enterprise contracts.
